Registrations for the Vegemite Family Ride at the 2019 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race are now open.

The CEGORR is Australia’s premier weekend of cycling and the Southern Hemisphere’s modern one-day cycling classic.

A highlight of the event, the Vegemite Family Ride returns bigger than ever in 2019.

Created to help make cycling more accessible and inclusive for the entire community, the ride aims to bring families together and remind everyone about the benefits of participating in physical activities.

Held along the picturesque Geelong Waterfront, it’s an opportunity for families to ride with Cadel Evans, elite riders and some local celebrities.

Australia’s only Tour de France winner, Cadel Evans, is looking forward to joining families on the ride.

“The Vegemite Family Ride is a fantastic free opportunity for parents, grandparents, children, friends and neighbours to ride on, and experience, the famous Start/Finish section of the race course,” Evans said.

“Not only is bike riding a great way to stay fit and healthy, it’s so much fun to do it together as a family.

“Nurturing and encouraging our kids to be active is so important in this day and age of technology and devices, so I look forward to all families putting away the phone for a few hours and getting on their bikes.”

Vegemite will be cheering on families from near and far, and can’t wait to see them progress through one of the most iconic landscapes in the world.
