Earlier this year, Aussie cycling fans witnessed 2024 Tour de France green jersey winner Biniam Girmay outsprint his rivals on the Esplanade at Torquay, taking out the Surf Coast Classic and kicking off what has been a remarkable year so far for the Eritrean.
With an incredible six stage victories, Tadej Pogačar`s 2024 @letourdefrance was one of the ages. The first man since 1998 to complete the Giro-Tour double, Tadej was dominant en route to his third GC victory for @uae_team_emirates.
It`s been a pleasure to stay up late and watch it unfold from cold Australia... Now time for sleep!
Fresh-faced 20-year-olds Jasper Philipsen and Tadej Pogačar rode in the 2019 edition of the #CadelRoadRace? The pair were riding for UAE Team Emirates in support of Diego Ulissi and finished 44th and 45th.
