How to volunteer

Love cycling? Love sport? Love the region?

Join our team and help deliver the 2024 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

Thanks to all the exceptional volunteers who helped with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2023.

We are on the hunt for exceptional volunteers to assist with the delivery of the 2024 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. As a volunteer, you’ll not only get to be part of this international sporting event, but all volunteers go home with an event t-shirt, a cap, and hopefully some wonderful memories! Plus, fundraising incentives are available for your community club, group or charity.

Each year, an army of volunteers make this event possible, fulfilling the roles detailed below.

Shifts will be made available for selection in the last quarter of 2023 – so time to gather the team!

For more information on volunteering at Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2024 or the fundraising incentives available please get in touch with Stacey at [email protected]

Pedestrian Crossing Assistant

In this role you will be in the thick of the action, stationed at crossings along the start/finish line to assist pedestrians and spectators safely cross the road when clear. You may be asked to assist with the movement of barriers to ensure the course is safe for riders.

Aid Station Assistant

This role assists any riders who stop in at the aid station and direct them to toilets, water, and first aid. In addition, you will be working as a team to support the site operations, set up and pack down. Designated locations will be around the course as part of the People’s Ride
