There’s no better family activity than bike riding! Come down to the Geelong waterfront for a safe and fun twilight edition of our iconic VEGEMITE Family Ride.
Due to the expected hot temperatures on Friday, and with the safety of our participants of paramount importance, we have decided to implement a time change for the Ride.
The VEGEMITE Family Ride will now commence at 5.00pm Friday 25 January, 30 minutes later than scheduled.
The expected cool change in the late afternoon will ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
We can’t wait to see families and friends at Steampacket Gardens for the VEGEMITE Family Ride and Team Presentations.
Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm (gathering at start line from 4:50pm)
Sign-in*: From 3:00pm in Steampacket gardens
Ride with: Cadel Evans, elite riders and local celebrities
*Sign-in is compulsory as all participants will receive their bike plate number (required for participation) upon sign-in. T-shirt’s will be available for the first 500 to register, subject to size availability.
After achieving the ride, enjoy the festival at our Steampacket Gardens Event Village including family activities, team presentations, giveaways and food stalls.

Closed to traffic, the Family Ride course will be perfect for young riders of all abilities. Pass under the official Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race finish line gantry – just like the pros.
