TREK - SEGAFREDO

Looking to extend their early success at the 2023 Cadel Road Race, Trek – Segafredo have had a flying start to the year at the Tour Down Under. Former race winner Amanda Spratt is being touted as one to watch while Brodie Chapman is in supreme form after being crowned national champion. Both will be looking to capitalise on their recent momentum with a strong team hitting the roads in 2023.

ISRAEL PREMIER TECH ROLAND

This will be the maiden season for Israel Premier Tech Roland as a WorldTour Women’s Team, having previously competed as a continental team. Vietnamese star Thi That Nguyen is a two-time Asian road race champion while Caroline Baur wears the Swiss cross as her nation’s 2022 road race champion.

ZAAF CYCLING TEAM

Having only been founded in 2022, the Zaaf Cycling Team may be an unfamiliar name to casual cycling pundits, but they’ll will be looking to assert themselves at the 2023 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. Canadian national road race champion in 2022, Maggie Coles-Lyster is one to watch having made the switch to Zaaf from DNA Pro Cycling.

EF EDUCATION - TIBCO - SVB

The winners of the Team General Classification at the Tour Down Under, EF Education – Tibco – SVB are a serious force heading into the 2023 Cadel Road Race. Clocking 13 wins in their WorldTour debut season in 2022, the US-based outfit heads to the Great Ocean with a mix of experience and youth. New Zealand’s Georgia Williams joins their squad in 2023 and is a two-time national road race champion having also won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She finished third at the Tour Down Under, while her 20-year-old teammate from Great Britain, Abi Smith, was a mere three seconds off earning the young rider classification jersey herself.

TEAM JAYCO ALULA

Australia’s powerhouse cycling team, Team Jayco AlUla, arrives back in Victoria for the 2023 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. Alex Manly is leading the women’s team as one of the fastest riders on the tour. She is joined by Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Georgia Baker as well as exciting young prospects Alyssa Polites and Amber Pate.

In their maiden year, Team Bridgelane is already making their mark on the scene. Forming through a successful crowdfunding campaign, their youthful line-up is home to some of Australia’s most promising talent including Gina Ricardo who took out the Most Combative Rider at the 2023 Tour Down Under.

FDJ - SUEZ

Returning to Victoria for their second edition of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, FDJ – Suez is looking for their first victory in the elite women’s race. The French-owned team have got good reason to be optimistic for a result, with homegrown superstar and 2023 Tour Down Under winner Grace Brown set to lead a strong team along the picturesque roads of Geelong and the Surf Coast.

Norwegian-based Team Coop-Hitech Products arrives in Victoria as a continental team looking to prove themselves against the world’s best. Their youthful line-up features promising Norweigan Mari Hole Mohr and English Commonwealth Games representative Josie Nelson.

Home to some of Australia’s best U23 road cyclists, ARA | Skip Capital is built on the development of athletic training and higher education. The team features Sophie Edwards and Chloe Moran who combined to win team pursuit gold on the track at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

HUMAN POWERED HEALTH

Human Powered Health have already made headlines in 2023 after an excellent team performance at the Tour Down Under. Polish-born rider Daria Pikulik broke through winning Stage 1 before 21-year-old Kiwi, Henrietta Christie, took out the Young Rider classification remains a star of the future for the US-based team.

French outfit St Michel – Mavic – Auber93 heads to the Great Ocean Road for the first time becoming a Continental team in 2022. Parisian-born rider Coralie Demay will look to be one of the leaders of the youthful team, overseen by former French national road race champion Charlotte Bravard as Directeur Sportif.

Featuring some of Australia’s most talented young riders as well as seasoned superstars, the Australian National Team will be aiming for a win on home soil and keen to show the rest of the world their strength. Sprinting superstar 2018 race winner Chloe Hosking will fancy her chances again in 2023, looking to add another Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race win to her CV which includes a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal and the overall win at the 2016 La Course by Le Tour de France.
