The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race has been monitoring weather conditions for the VEGEMITE Family Ride and with temperatures expected to reach 44 degrees celsius, organisers have made the decision to cancel the ride on Friday 31 January.
The health and safety of the families participating is paramount to organisers and with hot and humid weather conditions expected, it is not possible to deliver a safe and fun experience.
We appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The Event Village at Steampacket Gardens will open at 4:00pm as planned, with live entertainment and food and beverages. The Swisse People’s Ride marquee will also be open from 4:00pm for rider pack collections.
