Let’s meet a few of the legends who have signed up for 2026 TAC People’s Ride.

Emma: Memories on Two Wheels

For Emma, riding is about balance—sometimes a quick spin class, other times a long roll down Beach Road, where coffee and views matter as much as the kilometres.

“Growing up in Melbourne, our family holidays were in Torquay, so the People’s Ride feels like a trip down memory lane. It’s that sense of community that keeps me coming back.”

Barry: The Strength of the Crew

Williamstown local Barry knows the power of mateship on the bike. Most mornings, he’s out with his crew, chasing views and finishing with “the best coffee in the west.”

“For me, riding is all about exercise and mateship. A bunch of us from Williamstown ride the TAC People’s Ride each year—same crew, same laughs, same love of riding.”

Murray: Family and the Surf Coast Spirit

For Barwon Heads local Murray, life on the coast means movement—swimming, bodysurfing, and riding the Bellarine and Surf Coast with his siblings and clubmates.

“The times we’ve shared on the road are what stick with me—early mornings, coastal views, and plenty of laughs along the way.”

Adie: Freedom and Connection

Adie splits her time between open-water swims and rides along the Bellarine.

“For me, riding is freedom. It keeps me fit, clears my head, and connects me with others. The TAC People’s Ride brings riders of all levels together and celebrates our beautiful region—such a highlight for the community.”

Where Everyone’s a Legend

The TAC People’s Ride isn’t just about riding beside champions like Cadel Evans or Grace Brown—it’s about riding beside each other. The commuter before work, the crew who ride every year, the first-timer at the start line, the friend who stops to help mid-climb.

You don’t need medals or records to be a legend. You just need to ride. Because at the TAC People’s Ride, everyone’s a legend.
