Held in the lead-up to the elite weekend, the Women’s Surf Coast Classic sets the tone for an unforgettable week of racing. Starting and ending in Torquay, the UCI ProSeries race features rolling terrain, coastal winds, and a high-speed sprint finale. The Surf Coast Classic is a celebration of strength, strategy, and the spectacular beauty of Victoria’s coastline.

 

Unfortunately the 2026 Surf Coast Classic was cancelled due to bushfires in the region. It was replaced with Cadel’s Criterium. In 2025, New Zealander Ally Wollaston took out the inaugural race with a thrilling sprint finish.

The 2026 Course – 136.5km

The women’s race will start and finish in Torquay, delivering a fast and testing coastal‑inland route. From Torquay, the peloton heads south before turning inland onto Forrest Road, taking on a demanding run toward Moriac. The course then loops back to Torquay, setting the stage for a decisive seaside finish.
