The close-knit team comprising of local talent and European experience, AG Insurance – Soudal Team return to the Cadel Road Race for the second time, motivated by early season points to retain their WorldTour status this year.

Their squad features Belgian 28-year-old Justine Ghekiere, who overcame top-tier talent to secure the GC at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana in 2023, and just last year won a hilltop stage and ultimately the Queen of the Mountains classification at the Tour de France Femmes. She also recorded her best-placed finish at a World Championships Road Race last year, coming in 7th.

Italian one-day specialist Gaia Masetti returns with high hopes in 2025, alongside Aussie duo Alex Manly and Anya Louw.

As vibrant as their unmistakable pink and blue kit, Canyon//SRAM Racing’s lineup at the 2025 Cadel Road Race demands the respect of the rest of the pro peloton.

American superstar Chloé Dygert is a two-time ITT World Champion, finished second in last year’s road race in Zurich, and is a three-time Olympic medallist on the track. We know the 28-year-old from Indiana is already in form, taking out the third and final stage at this year’s Tour Down Under.

Not to be outdone, local Victorian hope Neve Bradbury finished the 2024 season as Australia’s top-ranked rider via the UCI, coming in at #10 in the world. Her rise up the charts is well-deserved following an impressive hilltop stage win at the 2024 Giro d’Italia and another awesome strategic performance at the Tour de Suisse.

Fellow Aussie Tiffany Cromwell will help guide the team that also includes Brit Alice Towers who finished 10th at last year’s race.

CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team (CTC)

German-based squad CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team makes their first appearance at the Cadel Road Race in 2025 looking to continue promising early-season form.

Dutchwomen Daniek Hengeveld outsmarted the peloton when she held onto a solo victory on Stage 1 of this year’s Tour Down Under.

26-year-old Spaniard Sandra Alonso is another to watch in a line-up that may well produce yet another surprise performance on Australian soil this summer.

In the royal blue and red, FDJ – SUEZ have returned to the Cadel Road Race two years after Dutchwoman Loes Adegeest stole victory in Geelong. While Adegeest herself is not returning to compete, the team should be confident in their chances after naming a well-rounded squad brimming with talent.

Swiss ace Elise Chabbey is a powerful performer who is very capable of a one-day victory here, while New Zealander Ally Wollaston joins the famous French team as an exciting 2025 signing.

Human Powered Health (HPH)

Competitive at every Cadel Road Race since 2019, Human Powered Health bring a dynamic team to Victoria this summer, looking to capture a one-day classic victory that has eluded them since.

American Ruth Edwards finished second here in 2017 when racing for UnitedHealthcare, and backed up that strong showing again just last year, crossing the line just off the podium, in 4th. The 31-year-old proved she’s got plenty left in the tank, winning the GC at the Thüringen Ladies Tour last year.

She’ll lead a team that includes two-time Austrian Road Race Champion Kathrin Schweinberger and Italian track rider Silvia Zanardi.

Lidl - Trek (LTK)

Ranked as the #2 team at the conclusion of the 2024 UCI Women’s WorldTour, Lidl – Trek boasts a solid squad that’s sure to be eyeing off the top step of the podium in Geelong.

The US-licensed team now features 24-year-old Kiwi Niamh Fisher-Black who joins the team in 2025. Fisher-Black cemented herself as a contender on the world stage at last year’s Giro d’Italia, winning the hilltop finish of Stage 4.

Aussie Amanda Spratt simply loves racing at Cadel’s. The 2016 winner of our race has finished on the podium a further three times (2019, 2020, 2023) and will guide the team with invaluable expertise. Clara Copponi is an Italian sprinter who arrives in Geelong following a win at Adelaide’s final criterium.

Liv AlUla Jayco (LIV)

High hopes and local expectations rest on the shoulders of Australia’s WorldTour team Liv Jayco AlUla heading into the final international race of the Aussie summer.

2025’s line-up includes Silke Smulders, the Dutch 23-year-old who started her season superbly, finishing second on two of the three stages at the Tour Down Under, resulting in a 2nd place podium finish for the GC and the Points classification overall.

From an Australian perspective, the ever-determined Ruby Roseman-Gannon, 2024 Road Race National Champion returns to Cadel’s following a season in which she placed sixth at the World Championships in Zurich and joined in the celebrations as a part of the victorious mixed team time trial.

Kiwi Ella Wyllie is a dynamo in the peloton and remains one to watch in the purple kit.

With a new name and a new kit, Team Picnic PostNL will be hoping that youth holds the keys to success at this year’s Cadel Road Race, sending an enthusiastic squad to Geelong.

Italian sprinter Rachele Barbieri will hope to gain early season form while 20-year-old countrywoman Eleonora Ciabocco won the white jersey youth classification at the 2025 Tour Down Under. Brit Josie Nelson previously finished 4th at Cadel’s in 2023 when racing for Team Coop – Hitec Products.

UAE Team ADQ (UAD)

Holding fond memories of Victoria, UAE Team ADQ performed very strongly at the 2024 Cadel Road Race, but the ultimate goal of victory in the elite women’s race remains their number one priority a year later.

Italian Sofia Bertizzolo saluted at the 2024 Geelong Classic mid-week race, while Poland’s Dominika Włodarczyk finished second in the weekend’s main race.

Both return in 2025 and depending on tactics, could be supporting seriously talented Dutchwoman Karlijn Swinkels who experienced a stellar season last year, winning the women’s Ardennes classic, the Grand Prix de Wallonie.

A team in just their fourth season, Uno-X Mobility of Norway arrive in Geelong for their first crack at the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, looking for points to keep their status active in the UCI Women’s WorldTour.

The team will be hoping for some X-factor magic at this year’s event, with a dynamic line-up that includes Norwegian Mie Bjørndal Ottestad, a two-time National Road Race Champion who won the Tour de Normandie Féminin last March. She showed she’s in early-season form already, finishing on the podium at the Tour Down Under this year. The squad also includes back-to-back Danish Road Race Champion Rebecca Koerner.

A UCI ProTeam on the cusp of promotion, points will be worth their weight in gold for the American-based EF Education-Oatly squad.

They have good reason to be optimistic with Swiss 23-year-old Noemi Rüegg claiming both the GC and Points Classifications at the 2025 Tour Down Under following a stage win up Willunga Hill. This biggest result of her career follows a season that saw her finish 7th at the Paris Olympics Road Race.

A pair of 23-year-old New Zealanders Kim Cadzow and Henrietta Christie will gain valuable experience under the experienced leader Sarah Roy of Australia, who finished 8th in Geelong last year.

Of the three Australians, Ella Simpson has already signalled she’s one to watch, following an impressive second-place finish at the National Championships in Perth.

Expect the team to assert themselves in a breakaway or roll the dice in the first international one-day classic of the year.

ARA Australian Cycling Team (AUS)

WorldTour experience awaits six young Aussies ready to make a name for themselves at the first global one-day classic of the year.

Alyssa Polites of club team Meridian Blue p/b 99 Bikes has already made her mark in the ARA Australian Team this year, attacking the hills to secure the Mountains Classification at the Tour Down Under.

2020 Olympian on the track and dual-Commonwealth Games medallist Maeve Plouffe of Hess Cycling Team will also don the green and gold alongside teenagers Emily Dixon (Butterfields Ziptrak Racing) who finished second in the Youth Classification at the 2025 Tour Down Under, and Talia Appleton (Parties Cycling Team) who won the SA Kick It leg of the ProVelo Super League.
