Mapei has been a premium partner of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race since 2015 and remains the only partner to have been associated with the race since its inception. In addition, Mapei played an integral role in Cadel Evans’s career. He joined the Mapei Quickstep professional team in 2002, trained at the Mapei Sport Research Centre in Italy under Professor Aldo Sassi, and later credited Mapei with helping shape his career success, culminating in his 2011 Tour de France win.
