The countdown is on! The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is set to return in 2026, bringing world-class cycling back to Geelong and the stunning Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula regions. The women’s race will feature on Saturday 31 January 2026 with the men racing on Sunday 1 February 2026, promising another thrilling chapter in Australia’s premier one-day classic.

Inspired by the great European races, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race has become a fixture on the UCI WorldTour calendar and a fan favourite for its breathtaking scenery, unpredictable racing and electric atmosphere. The 2026 edition will once again showcase the best of Victoria’s coastal and countryside roads, with the elite riders tackling the iconic Challambra Crescent climb before a high-speed sprint to the finish on the Geelong waterfront.

Midweek Racing Heats Up with Surf Coast Classic

Adding to the excitement, the Surf Coast Classic returns midweek, continuing to grow in prestige and competitiveness. Held on the picturesque roads around Torquay and the Surf Coast Shire, the Surf Coast Classic will feature elite Women’s and Men’s fields battling it out in fast-paced, tactical racing that showcases the region’s natural beauty and cycling passion.

The midweek races offer fans even more opportunities to see top-tier athletes in action and provide a thrilling lead-in to the weekend’s marquee events.

Ride the Roads of the Pros

The weekend of cycling kicks off with the GeelongPort Family Ride on Friday, 30 January, followed by the ever-popular TAC People’s Ride on Saturday, 31 January. A course that balances technical challenges with spectacular views. From the rolling hills of Moriac to the coastal winds of Thirteenth Beach, the 2026 TAC People’s Ride promises to be as dynamic and dramatic as ever.
