ASTANA WOMEN'S TEAM

On their first visit to Australia, Astana Women’s Team is packed with stars. Keep an eye out for young Italian star Elena Pirrone as she is set to be one of the riders to watch both now and into the future.

BEPINK

One of three Italian teams competing in the Elite Women’s Race, BePink returns with unfinished business. 2018 saw the team miss out on a top 10 place but gain a lot of experience. Expect them to be one of the big improvers at their second time here in Victoria.

The team at Doltcini – Van Eyck Sport will be in Victoria for their first attempt at the Cadel Road Race. Based in Belgium, the team is a specialist at One Day racing. Expect them to challenge the more experienced teams early as they look to put the pressure on and break open the race.

MITCHELTON - SCOTT

Local heroes, Mitchelton – SCOTT have won two of the four Deakin University Elite Road Races to date. With gun riders like 2016 CEGORR winner, Amanda Spratt, they are sure to be up the front again in 2019. The test will be for the other teams to take the advantage away from the best performing team of 2018.

RALLY UHC CYCLING

American team, Rally UHC Cycling will come to the race on the back of some solid training. The team has set out on a 13-day camp in Southern California to prepare them for the race. Few teams get this opportunity to have their riders together this early in the season, so it will be interesting to see the benefits that it brings.

SWAPIT AGOLICO

The first ever Mexican team to compete at the Cadel Road Race brings an exciting young roster. This team is renowned for getting in the breakaways and pushing the other teams to respond. Expect to see them figure in the Subaru Queen of the Mountain and Mapei Sprint calculations.

California based, Team Tibco – SVB are back for their second year at the Cadel Road Race. In 2018 the team featured in the bunch sprint to the finish line but were unable to podium. With a stronger line-up and the return of Australian champ, Shannon Malseed, expect a bold showing in 2019.

Trek – Segafredo enters the women’s peloton in 2019. The team sits alongside their men’s team and will be out to impress. Their line-up of stars is extraordinary for a brand-new team.
