The 2025 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race festival will run from Wednesday 29 January to Sunday 2 February in what will be a celebration of the entire Australian cycling community.

Spectator GuideA UCI Sanctioned 1.1 Classification point-to-point event will see elite teams race 118km in this lead-in event to the weekend’s races.
Start Location: Lorne (Mountjoy Parade, near Williams Street)
Start Time: 11:00am
Finish Location: The Esplanade, Torquay (corner of Cowrie Road)
Finish Time: Approximately 2:05pm – 2:25pm
A UCI Sanctioned 1.1 Classification point-to-point event will see elite teams race 157km in this lead-in event to the weekend’s races.

The free GeelongPort Family Ride is a 2km circuit along the Geelong Waterfront, giving the whole family a memorable and safe cycling experience! Registrations are required to take part.
Start & Finish Location: Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Road, Geelong
Start Times:
Session 1: 5:30pm Start – course open for 40 minutes.
Session 2: 6:15pm Start – course open for 40 minutes.
Finish Time: 6:55pm finish line closed
The TAC People’s Ride is a mass participation event within the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race festival of cycling. Participants ride the same roads as the professionals and can choose from two course distances – 59km and 124km.
Start & Finish Location: Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Road, Geelong
Start Time: Long Course starts at 7:00am. Short Course starts at 7:30am
Finish Time: There is no official time but for safety of participants and as a courtesy of local residents, a ‘cut off’ policy does apply.
The first UCI Women’s WorldTour one-day race of the season, elite teams will race 142km through Geelong and the Surf Coast before a thrilling finish on the Geelong Waterfront.
Start & Finish Location: Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Road, Geelong
Start Time: 12:40pm
Finish Time: Approximately 4:30pm – 4:50pm
Queen of the Mountain (Challambra Climb) Times: The peloton will ascend Challambra Climb twice at approximately 3:40pm – 4:00pm and again between 4:15pm – 4:35pm. QOM points will be awarded at the summit both times.
The first UCI WorldTour one-day race of the season, elite teams will race 184km through Geelong and the Surf Coast before a thrilling finish on the Geelong Waterfront.
Start & Finish Location: Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Road, Geelong
Start Time: 11:10am
Finish Time: Approximately 3:30pm – 4:00pm
King of the Mountain (Challambra Climb) Times: The peloton will ascend Challambra Climb four times at approximately 2:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:00pm and 3:30pm. KOM points will be awarded at the summit on the first three climbs.
